Our Philosophy -Enriching our client's lives through architecture

Creating habitable environments is what we do. We define our task more broadly than that. At Main Architecture, we're about creating buildings to enhance the lives of those who use them. A person spends most of their life indoors, and by creating a healthily, aesthetic & comfortable environment, we enhance the lives of those who live and work inside.

For an architect to improve the life of there client, two things are required. The first is the ability to conceive a uniquely appropriate and elegant solution for a given problem. The second is the willingness to assume responsibility for bringing the conception to reality. Clients come back to Main Architecture -and come back to us- for excellence in both the process of developing the concept as well as the final creative result.

We at Main Architecture pride ourselves in our ability to listen to our clients and in our talent to take that process one step further. If listening were enough, clients might be able to communicate their needs directly to contractors who listen, and hope to achieve comparable results. Our job is not only to listen but to interpret, to filter the client's demands through our experience and expertise, and to bring artistry to the table. The ultimate goal of a project is to make a client's life better-better, perhaps, than the client was able to dream of.

In Chicago, where construction codes can change almost monthly, Main Architecture is honored to sit on the board of the Home Builders' Association/City Division. This allows us to know about code changes a year or more prior to implementation, to the special benefit of our clients. Main Architecture is always abreast of the latest materials, technologies, and methods of construction, we can deliver a higher level of design and detailing for any budget.

Main Architecture has 30 years of professional experience. Our projects range from small residential homes to multi-million dollar developments. We have won many awards, been archived at the Art Institute of Chicago, and have been widely published in local, national, and international periodicals.
